Personal Data

Personal data is data about you. This includes your name, address and email address. You do not have to divulge any personal information in order to visit our website. In some cases we may need your name and address so that we can provide you with the correct information about our products and services, and/or respond to your request or enquiry.  We will inform you in such cases and, in addition, we will only store the data that you have sent to us automatically or voluntarily.

We only collect the data necessary to provide our service. We may ask you for more information, which is voluntary in nature. Whenever we process personal information, we do so to provide you with our service.

Automatically stored Non-Personal Data

When you visit our website, we store certain information for administrative and technical reasons. These are: type and version of the browser used, date and time of access, as well as the IP address.

This data is anonymised and used only for statistical purposes or to improve our online services. This anonymised data is stored separately from any personal data on secure systems and cannot be assigned to individual persons. This means that your personal information remains protected at all times.

Cookies

When you visit our website, we may store information on your computer in the form of cookies. Cookies are small files that are transferred from an Internet server to your browser and stored on its hard disk. Only the Internet Protocol address is stored here – no personal data. This information, which is stored in the cookies, allows you to automatically recognize it the next time you visit our website, which will facilitate your use.

You can also visit our website without accepting cookies. If you do not want your computer to be recognised the next time you visit, you may also decline to use cookies by changing the settings in your browser to “decline cookies”. The respective procedure can be found in the operating instructions of your respective browser. If you refuse the use of cookies, however, it may lead to restrictions in the use of some areas of our websites.

Social Media Plugins

Our website uses so-called “social plugins”. Currently these are the plugins of the services Twitter and LinkedIn. Through these plugins, data, including personal information, is sent to the US service providers and could be used by them. To prevent this, we use a so-called 2-click solution. This ensures that initially no personal information is passed on to the providers of these services when you visit our pages. We ourselves do not collect personal data by means of social plugins or their use. Only when you actively click on one of the social plugins, can data be transmitted to the service provider and stored there.

Use of YouTube

We use YouTube to embed videos. Like most websites, YouTube uses cookies to collect information about visitors to its website and continues to connect to the Google DoubleClick network. Our videos are therefore embedded in enhanced privacy mode, which does not pass on information about the visitor to YouTube when viewing our web pages. Only when you start a video could this trigger further data processing. We have no influence on that. For more information about privacy at YouTube, please see their privacy policy at: http://www.youtube.com/t/privacy_at_youtube

Use of web analysis service Google Analytics

We use the web analysis service Google Analytics on our website. Google Analytics uses cookies for this analysis. Cookies are small text files that are stored on your computer and that allow an analysis of the use of the website by you.

The information generated by cookies, such as the time, place and frequency of your website visit, including your IP address, is transmitted to our Google Analytics server and stored there. Your IP address will be immediately anonymised during this process so that you remain anonymous to us as a user. The information generated by the cookie about your use of this website will not be disclosed to third parties. You can prevent the installation of cookies by setting your browser software accordingly; however, in such cases you may not be able to fully use all areas of our website.

Safety

We have taken technical and administrative security measures to protect your personal data against loss, destruction, manipulation and unauthorised access. All our employees as well as service providers working for us are obliged to comply with the relevant data protection laws.

Whenever we collect and process personal information, it will be encrypted before being transferred. This means that your data can not be misused by third parties. Our security is subject to on-going review and improvement and our privacy statements are updated to reflect the latest requirements and technologies used.

Your Right to Access and to Object to Information

Please contact us at any time if you would like to find out what personal data we store about you. In addition, you may at any time withdraw your permission for us to collect and process your personal information. In either cases, please contact us directly.

Changes to this Privacy Policy

We reserve the right to change our Privacy Policy if necessary.  An up-to-date copy of this Policy will always be held on our website.
