Salher installs its latest high flow water treatment system in Portugal
As part of the project to modernise the urban water treatment system of a town in the north of Portugal, Salher has designed, manufactured and supplied a compact drinking water treatment solution, with Salher’s technical team carrying out the commissioning of the equipment and the corresponding technical training.
This drinking water treatment plant for surface water with an organic matter load will treat a flow of around 4,000 cubic metres per day using high-performance filtration technology with silex and anthracite filters, activated carbon filters and ring filters with different degrees of filtration.
It also includes a tank for collecting the water to be treated, a pre-chlorination system, a system for dosing coagulant, flocculant and pH correctors to aid filtration, a system for controlling water quality and a final chlorination station.
To simplify the whole process, as well as the maintenance work, this drinking water treatment line is fully automated by means of a Salher control panel.
Salher continues to grow in Portugal
The Portuguese islands of the Azores are located to the west of Portugal, in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean, where Salher has recently commissioned a compact process water purification plant for an energy production industry.
This drinking water treatment station will treat a daily flow of 150 cubic metres for which Salher has designed a multi-layer filtration, decalcification and pH adjustment system, all automated by means of a Salher electrical panel.
