Hydrocarbon separators
The hydrocarbon separators designed by Salher are manufactured in GFRP (Glass Fiber Reinforced Polyester) and sized in accordance with EN 858.
They separate mineral oil and grease and hydrocarbon from water.

Separators Class I and II
Separators Class I
Separators by coalescence.
They guarantee an outlet oil concentration lower than 5 ppm.
Separators Class II
Standard separators.
They guarantee an outlet oil concentration lower than 100 ppm.

Manual Skimmer
- Model CHC-SH-L-K.
- Model CHC-SH-L-X-K.
Mechanical Skimmer
- Accessory SK (skimmer), with explosion-proof protection ATEX in option.
- Included in the model CHC-SH-L-K-M.
- Valid for most part of the separators manufactured by Salher.
Automatic Closure Device
- Automatic closure device in case of excessive accumulation of hydrocarbon, composed of a float designed to float in the water and oil interphase at a density of 850kg/m³ and a shut-off valve.
- Included in all the models with reference «O».
Bypass
- Flow bypass device allows the treatment of only a part of the inflow, deriving the rest. Ideal to treat rainwater of large areas such as parkings, airport runways and large paved surfaces.
- Included in all the models with reference «BP».
Oil filter
- Extra separation element that allows coalescence through PP fibers with oleophilic capacity.
- Included in all the models with reference «F».
Absorbent Filter
- Extra separation element to intercept particles diluted in water or with densities similar to water.
- These elements are custom designed.
- Included in the models with reference «AB».
Active carbon filter
- Extra separation element to intercept particles diluted in water or with densities similar to water.
- These elements are custom designed.
- Included in the models with reference «CA».

Hydrocarbon Separators CHC-SH-L-X-K
Grit chamber.
CHC-SH-L-2, CHC-SH-L-O-BP models include a grit chamber.
Oil storage tank.
- Accumulation of hydrocarbons inside the separator and on the oil layer.
- In specific models, for large quantity of oils, an independent chamber is available.
- CHC-SH-L-X-K model includes an hydrocarbon storage tank.
- Models with manual or automatic skimmer have independent oil storage tanks: CVC-AC.
UR Ultrareinforced
All separator models can be manufactured ultra-reinforced for deep installations or with other requirements.
Our hydrocarbon separators are standardized from 0,5 to 500 l/s; for specific cases, we design and manufacture customized separators.
